Here at the Spirit of Huntington Art Center, we value people who enjoy working with students in a vibrant, energetic space with an organization dedicated to helping students find recreation, education, and vocation through creative expression. Here you will find purpose and work surrounded by art, where your talents will be valued and appreciated.

Take a look at these open positions that make a difference not only to our organization but in the lives of our students, many of whom are neurodiverse. There are full-time, part-time, or per class opportunities.

ArtAbility Instructor – do you enjoy working in an artistic, creative environment? Our structured art program for students with special needs relies on people who can work with student groups in creating art projects, learning about and playing music, or immersing themselves in working with clay to create finished pieces. Instructors assist students in a stress-free environment, focusing on a different artist, or musician each week. Classes follow a 10-week schedule, with art exhibits held periodically throughout the year. (Full-time, part-time, or per class)

ArtWORKS Instructor – do you speak “Adobe”? Our ArtWORKS program relies on digital art instructors who can help students who think differently unlock their creative passions through graphic design and digital art, using the Adobe suite of programs. Our 90 minute classes meet twice a week, with small (4-6) groups of young adults here at our community art center. College students who wish to teach are welcome, as are graduates, professionals working in branding, marketing, or graphic design, who enjoy teaching these skills to others, and who possess a sensitivity towards students with differing abilities. Student profiles and their amazing portfolios are on our website. (Full-time, part-time, or per class)

Account Coordinator – we work with an amazing roster of organizations, many of which are not-for-profits. We seek an account coordinator to work with our clients on their branding, marketing, and social media planning. Our organization works with students who think differently, helping them develop skills on projects for clients. You will be working with a team at our community art center, surrounded by art and committed colleagues, coordinating client accounts through regular communication with their staff and managers. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to work in marketing and branding, good interpersonal and follow up skills, and be comfortable working with creative colleagues.(Full-time or part-time)
